There are no height regulations. However, to increase the effectiveness of your email, you should not make it too long. Try to place the main information and the CTA-button in the first part of the email. Most often emails are between 1000 and 2000 pixels long.

Subject size of email mailing

The subject of an email is the header of the email message that the user sees in the line immediately after the sender's name. It is the subject of the email that should motivate the recipient to open it.

Try to make the subject of the email short or place the main information in the beginning, since recipients most often open emails from mobile phones. Mail services on smartphones display from 30-35 characters of text.

Preheader size

Preheader - the text that is displayed in the mail program after the subject of the email.

Make sure that the banner size does not exceed the size of the email template and fits on the screen. Therefore, you should focus on a width of 600 pixels and a height of up to 1000 pixels.

Size of images for email mailing

When adding an image to an email template, you should consider not only the size, but also its weight.

The size of the image should not exceed the size of the email itself, so the standard width of the picture is 600 pixels. The standard height is considered to be 480 pixels. However, if you are focused on mobile device users, then the sizes can be smaller.

As for the weight of the image, its optimal value is considered to be up to 200Kb. Heavier images should not be uploaded for two reasons:

It can take a long time for an image to be downloaded when an email message is opened. For example, a 2MB image will take about 10 seconds to download. Recipients obviously don't want to spend so much time viewing an email. The high resolution will definitely not be appreciated by anyone, since many email services "eat up" the quality of the picture.

Attachments are files that are attached to an email. The optimal weight is up to 1Mb.

Note that attachment weight also affects email deliverability. Since mail services see a heavy attachment in a mass mailing, they may not deliver it, or they may add a warning that the file is suspicious and should not be opened.

Text size

The standards of a text block are considered to be the dimensions: width up to 600 pixels, and the number of characters in one line up to 75. If there are more characters, the words will be incorrectly transferred to the next line.

The number of characters does not affect the size of the email, but the font does. It is better to use generally accepted fonts for email layout, because they are readable on all devices without problems. Decorative fonts may not be available on the user's smartphone or computer: then the system automatically converts it to the standard Arial type. In this case, the layout can "shift" (due to the difference in size, height and width of the letters), and the email will look untidy.

Try to stick to the rule: the less text, the more likely it is to be read.

Button size

There are no strict rules regarding button size. It can be of any size.

The main thing is that the button should be big enough so that it can be easily pressed in the mobile app. Also it should be completely visible on the screen and the text should not "shift".

Email size in full

The optimal weight of an email without attachments is up to 100Kb. This value is due to the fact that some mail services impose restrictions and can cut off the contents of the email. So the user has to make an extra click to read it in full.
