Step 1: Connect WhatsApp Business API
To work with the product catalog in WhatsApp messenger, you need to set up the WhatsApp Business API initially. Find out more in the corresponding article.
Step 2: Create a product catalog
Next, you need to create a product catalog in Facebook Business Manager. Find out more here.
Step 3: Connect the feed generation module Facebook & Instagram Feed
- Go to the RetailCRM interface and follow the path Settings → Marketplace → Warehouse Systems, click on the «Facebook & Instagram Feed» module. Click Connect.

Select a store from the list to generate a feed and click Connect again.

Next, select the connected store from the list and click Generate to start the feed generation process.
Step 4: Link the feed to the catalog in Commerce Manager
To get started, you should already have: a public Facebook page and a Business Manager (Business Portfolio) account.
- Go to the page Commerce Manager.
- Click Add Catalog (Add Products).
- On the page, select the Online products option, business portfolio and specify the catalog name. Click Next.
- Skip the steps: "Connect to tracking" and "Configure permission".
- In the “Upload products” step, select the “Connect to data feed” upload method and click Connect data feed.
- In the window that opens, select the first option for uploading the file “Use a URL or Google Sheets”. Next, copy the feed address from the module created in step 4 and click Next.
- Set the feed uploading time and currency. The uploading time should be every 4 hours, and the currency should match the feed currency.
Step 5: Connect the catalog to WhatsApp Business
- Open Business Manager and select your company.
- Select All tools .
- Click WhatsApp Manager.
- Select the account you want to connect the catalog to.
- Click Catalog in the menu on the left side of the screen.
- Click Select Catalog.
- Select the desired catalog from the drop-down menu.
- Click View Catalog if you want to view or manage the catalog.
- Click Connect Catalog.

Step 6: Finish setting up
- Go to the Commerce Manager.
- On the page that opens, copy the catalog identifier (catalog ID).
- Go back to the RetailCRM interface, open the WhatsApp Business API module settings.
- Click on the blue button Connect Catalog.
- In the window that opens, select the store and paste the copied catalog ID.
