How to create a chain of mailings?

If necessary, you can add several actions within the same mailing with your own trigger conditions. Steps can be added immediately, when you first set up the mailing or after you send it. It is also possible to specify a separate name for each step of the mailing.

The number of steps to be added is not limited. All added steps are triggered only after the previous step is triggered for the customer. That is, when adding the second step - it will not work until the main step is triggered. When adding the third step - it will not work until the second step is triggered.

To perform several sequential actions within the same mailing click on the "Add step" button under the "Conversion" block. A new block with settings will appear.

Note

Each block in the step must be saved and do not forget to do this when making changes. Changes are not saved automatically, which will lead to the loss of the changes made without saving.

There is a Minimap on the right for easier navigation between the mailing steps. When you click on one of the steps you will be moved to it.

Who to send to

There are two options to choose from:

  • "To all customers from the previous mailing" - the message will be sent to the customers selected in the segments of the main step.
  • "Set up terms" - the message will be sent to customers who fall under the selected terms. For example, send the next steps to those customers who opened the email. You can select several terms within the same step.

The terms setting can be used, for example, to send an SMS message to those customers who have unsubscribed from the Email mailing.

How to send a message to those who have unsubscribed from the mailing?

In order to carry out such a mailing it is necessary to do the following:

  • Select the Email mailing in the main step, since we need to track those customers who unsubscribed from this mailing
  • In the second step, communication via SMS should be selected as an action, since the Email message cannot be sent to the customer due to his unsubscription
  • Select the "Set up terms" option in the " Who to send to" block and select "Unsubscribed from email" in the drop-down list

Via such communication you can make a personal offer or express regret about the customer's decision to unsubscribe from the mailing.

How to schedule a mailing?

Available options:

  • "Send now" – the additional step is triggered immediately after the previous step is triggered, taking into account the configured terms in the previous step (if they are configured).
  • "Schedule" - schedule the sending of communications for a specific date and time.

Note

The specified time is taken into account according to the customer's time zone, which is determined on the basis of his phone number (only for Russia). If it is not possible to determine the time zone, it is sent according to the time zone specified in the system settings.

Conversion

The conversion block appears only after selecting an action and works identically to what is configured in the main step. But please note that the conversion is calculated for each step separately without overlapping. That is, if the customer placed an order during the second step, the conversion will be counted for the second step, not for the main one.
