Email/SMS mailing list

The mailing list is used to display sent newsletters and drafts that are in the process of being created and have not yet been sent, as well as to create a new newsletter.

The fact that the newsletter is in draft status can be seen to the right of the name, the inscription in gray "Draft".

The general list displays both email and SMS mailings. Within a mailing you can configure a chain of actions (several steps in a mailing). Such mailings are named in the system as "Mixed" and are also displayed in the general list.

In the mailing list you can also see statistics of the sent mailing.

Important!

The mailing edit page and the mailing list display the total number of messages sent, including test sendings. The "Statistics" page provides information only about real sendings, excluding test ones.

How to filter a mailing list?

To simplify the search for the required mailing, filters are presented above the list. Filtering is possible by:

  • Mailing title
  • Date sent
  • Segments that appear in the mailings
  • Mailing status (Draft, Sent, Pending, Canceled, Aborted)
  • Mailing type (All, Email only, SMS only, Mixed only)

Clicking on a string (or name) of an already sent mailing opens statistics that reflect its performance.

How to view statistics on the sent mailing?

Under the mailing name its general performance indicators are displayed: the number of orders placed from the mailing (conversion) and the sum of orders placed.

Below you can see detailed statistics on the mailing action being performed. The header of the block displays the name of the mailing and the selected action. To the right of the action there is the "Preview" button, which allows you to see the email or sms template sent to customers. A little further to the right the "Scope" is specified. This indicator allows you to see how many customers are involved in the mailing.

Below there are three tabs: "Statistics", "Click map" and "Funnel".

”Statistics” tab

  • Scope - the number of customers for whom the action was formed.
  • Sent - the number of sent communications. The percentage in this metric is calculated as "Scope" minus messages with the status: "Canceled by the system", "Error", "Sender address needs to be verified".
  • Delivered - the number of delivered communications. The percentage is calculated based on the "Sent" metric. The figure may differ from the number of sent emails, since an email may be sent but not delivered, for example, due to non-existent or inaccessible customer mail.
  • Open - the number of open communications. The percentage is calculated based on the "Delivered" metric.
  • Transitions - the number of transitions from an email. The percentage is calculated based on the "Open" metric.
  • Orders - the number of orders placed. The percentage is calculated based on the "Open" metric.

The "Delivery errors" metric is calculated from the number of sent messages, while the "Spam complaints" and "Unsubscriptions" metrics are calculated from the delivered messages.

Delivery error may be due to the unavailability of the mail service on the customer side or, for example, due to the customer's mailbox overflow.

In the case of a spam complaint - customers who marked an email as Spam are counted. An email can be marked as spam either manually by the customer or automatically by the mail service. In case of a spam complaint, the customer will not be involved in subsequent email mailings.

The unsubscription rate is calculated only for those customers who clicked on the unsubscription button in the body of the email. The unsubscription button is specified when creating an email template.

The "CTOR" metric displays the percentage of transitions from the number of open emails.

When you click on the indicator, a pop-in window will open with a clickable list of customers. Only the first 100 customers are displayed.

The conversion rate is calculated using UTM tags (there must be a 100% match between the tags in the email and in the mailing) and without them. In the second case, the conversion is calculated depending on the selected action:

  • Send email by template - only open emails are counted.
  • Send SMS by template - only delivered SMS are counted.

Important!

Orders are counted only for the actions "Send email by template" and "Send SMS by template". For the order to be counted in the mailing conversion, it is necessary that in the case of an email the order must be placed after the email is opened in the conversion time window specified in the mailing, and in the case of SMS, the order must be placed after the SMS is delivered and also within the specified conversion time window.

"Click map" tab

All links that are available in the email and the number of clicks (transitions) by them are displayed here. When you click on the number of clicks on the visual map, a pop-in window will open with a clickable list of customers. In addition to the visual click map you can also enable the display of links as a list.

"Funnel" tab

Metrics from the "Statistics" tab are presented in the form of a funnel.
