You can add and edit order channels in the section Administration >Data books, "Order channels" tab.

A few examples:

  • orders through the shopping cart of the online store;
  • orders by phone;
  • orders made from an offline store;
  • orders from the "Buy in 1 click" form;
  • orders from the landing page.

To add a new order channel, click "Add". To edit the order channel, click anywhere in line.

In the editing form, pay attention to the parameters:

-By default in the system- means that this order channel will be automatically substituted by default for those orders that are created from the system. -By default via API- means that this order channel will be automatically substituted by default for those orders which are uploaded to the system via API. These are usually your online stores configured via system modules for 1C-Bitrix or Insales, or manually via API for other systems of site management.

Separation by order channels is important for top managers in terms of sales analytics.

For example, if 80% of all returns are made with order type "Legal entities", it means that this is a signal to the manager that there are problems with pacing orders for legal entities, perhaps, there are not enough fields or the service suffers.
